The 13th Final of the of the Poland-Wide Ecological Contest „Good Solutions for Electronic Waste 2022”
The 13th Final of the Poland-Wide Ecological Contest „Good Solutions for Electronic Waste – Leave Me in Good Hands – 2022” took place on Friday, 10th June in the Copernicus Science Centre in Warsaw.
Until today, 13 editions of the contest have been attended by 337 School Eco teams from the entire Poland. Those teams have been composed of 2,028 participants. We have collected over 700 tons of the used-up electrical and electronic hardware and over 42 tons of the used-up batteries and accumulators.
This year’s edition of the „Good Solutions for Electronic Waste” contest, the aim of which is to boost pro-environmental attitudes among primary school students in the field of correct handling of waste electrical and electronic equipment and waste portable batteries and accumulators, took place in accordance with the plan, despite restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic and remote education. This is thanks to a immense commitment of both the pupils participating in the competition and their school guardians. It is only through their determination and creativity that we managed to organise the collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment and waste batteries, the results of which was truly impressive. We have collected over 50 tons of used-up electrical and electronic hardware and nearly 3,5 tons of used-up batteries and accumulators.
