How did AURAEKO celebrate Earth Day?

This year’s spring collection of electro-waste in the Parish Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Warsaw-Zerzeń took place on 22 April, which is the Earth Day celebrated around the world. Once again, the residents of Zerzeń and the surrounding area showed how important and necessary such initiatives are for the local community. They started visiting our educational stand in the morning and donated their used equipment. In exchange for the electro-waste and used batteries brought in by the residents, we handed out beautiful spring flowers and reusable bags. Visitors to our educational stand also received brochures and leaflets. They contained information on how to properly deal with used electrical and electronic equipment as well as used batteries and portable accumulators.

Similar to 2022, local young people and children wholeheartedly participated in the campaign. This attitude fills us with great optimism. The effectiveness of the programme in working with young people has been proven. Our systematic efforts to make them aware of the dangers of electro-waste will bear fruit in the future. Of course, whenever possible, we tell our young visitors that this is a team effort for all inhabitants of the planet.
