FLOWERS FOR ELECTROWASTE – Spring 2025

WELCOMING SPRING IN AN ECO-FRIENDLY WAY

The spring edition of the nationwide educational project “FLOWERS FOR E-WASTE 2025” took place between 27 and 29 March. The campaign was run in all CASTORAMA stores (including Smart, Express, Brico Depot). Campaign participants brought worn-out electrical and electronic equipment to exchange it for seedlings of flowering pansies. Furthermore, the producers of the pots of pansies had made them from 100% recycled materials. This amplified the ecological overtones of the project.

PROMOTING PRO-ECOLOGICAL ATTITUDES

The aim of this cyclical project of CASTORAMA POLSKA and AURAEKO OOSEE S.A. is to  promote pro-ecological attitudes among users of electrical and electronic equipment, and thus to increase the level of selective collection of WEEE and the level of recovery and recycling of electrowaste. Those customers who participated in the campaign showed with their response that society is becoming increasingly aware and ecologically involved. Campaign participants understand that their everyday choices have a real impact on the state of the surrounding environment. It makes me happy and is a motivation driver to continue my actions. Collection and professional recycling of the collected equipment was provided by MB Recycling.
