Good Solutions for Electrowaste – Leave Me in Good Hands 2024

The 15th Final of the Competition Good Solutions for Electrowaste – Leave Me in Good Hands 2024 took place on Friday, 7 June at the Warsaw Copernicus Science Centre.

The Good Solutions for Electrowaste campaign address a series of cyclical educational activities for school youth aimed at promoting the selective collection of waste comprising electrical and electronic equipment and spent batteries. 15 editions of the project attracted a total of 2,202 participants to take part in the competition, who had collected 827 tonnes of waste equipment and 49 tonnes of spent portable batteries and accumulators. Beautiful figures!

The Competition Jury of the Poland-Wide Ecological Competition Good Solutions for Electrowaste – Leave Me in Good Hands 2024 composed of:

assessed the competition tasks in accordance with the Competition Regulations and announced the following results:

1st place: Józef Wybicki Primary School No 5 in Mińsk Mazowiecki

2nd place: Józef Wybicki Primary School No 1 in Rumia

3rd place: Franciszek Stusek Primary School No 4 in Orzesze-Jaśkowice

4th place: Orzeł Biały Primary School No 4 in Czechowice-Dziedzice

5th place: Fr. Dr. Bernard Sychta Primary School No 6 in Kościerzyna

6th place: Jan Sobieski Primary School No 30 with Integration Classes in Rzeszów

7th Place: Wincenty Witos Agro-Technical Schools Complex in Ropczyce

8th place: Wiesław Kazanecki Primary School No 38 in Białystok

9th place: Edmund Bojanowski Primary School No 30 in Białystok

Prizes

Members of the winning teams (places 1-8) have received individual prizes in-kind (e-book readers, smartwatches, wireless headphones) as well as sweets and small gifts from AURAEKO.

Furthermore, the Competition Jury awarded the following Grand Prizes to schools for:

The Eco-Team from the school that placed 9th, that is Edmund Bojanowski Primary School No 30 in Białystok, has received an additional prize prepared by LG Electronics Mława (the patron of the competition), namely the opportunity to visit the LG Electronics plant in Mława.

All Eco-Teams have received commemorative diplomas and small gifts from AURAEKO.

15th Anniversary of the Competition – Special Edition

On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the Competition, additional prizes were awarded to the four schools that have been associated with the Good Solutions for Electrowaste project for the longest time:

Voucher for the purchase of teaching aids worth 5,000 PLN net was awarded to Fr. Dr. Bernard Sychta Primary School No 6 in Kościerzyna

Voucher for the purchase of teaching aids worth 4,000 PLN net was awarded to Józef Wybicki Primary School No 5 in Mińsk Mazowiecki

Voucher for the purchase of teaching aids worth 3,000 PLN net was awarded to Henryk Sienkiewicz Primary School No 6 in Pruszków

Voucher for the purchase of teaching aids worth 3,000 PLN net was awarded to Wiesław Kazanecki Primary School No 38 in Białystok

Furthermore, three of Eco-Teams Supervisors who have been associated with the project for the longest time were awarded:

Ms Edyta Kopeć from Józef Wybicki Primary School No 5 in Mińsk Mazowiecki

Ms Joanna Krupnik from Orzeł Biały Primary School No 4 in Czechowice-Dziedzice

Ms Irena Gryc from Wiesław Kazanecki Primary School No 38 in Białystok
